Va District 1 - Monty Mason (D) - Senator Monty Mason serves the Peninsula's 1st Senate District, including parts of James City County, York County, the City of Hampton, the City of Suffolk, the City of Newport News and all of the City of Williamsburg. As our Senator he is focused on protecting seniors, serving our veterans, creating opportunities for small businesses and improving education for Virginia's children. He was named a "Legislative Hero" three years in a row by the League of Conservation Voters for his voting record to protect our environment. He also earned the "Solid as a Rock" award from the Virginia Education Association for his week to improve education in the Commonwealth. Monty received his bachelor's degree in government from the College of William and Mary and is an active alumnus. He is a member of the College's Challenge 1 Strategic Planning Committee, and served three years as Chairman of the Athletic Educational Foundation. In 2002, William and Mary awarded him the Young Alumni Service Award. Monty lives in the Walnut Hills neighborhood of Williamsburg with his wife, Pamela, who works at the College of William and Mary and serves as the President of the PTA at Mathew Whaley Elementary School. They have two daughters, Taylor Anne (7) and Hawley (5).

Va District 3 - Tommy Norment (R) - A graduate of James Blair High School in Williamsburg, Tommy attended college at Virginia Military Institute before returning to Williamsburg to attend the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary. In 1987, Tommy was elected to the James City County Board of Supervisors. He served as Chairman of the Board in 1991 before being elected to the Senate of Virginia. Tommy maintains an active role in the community. He is a member of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation’s Board of Trustees and the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation’s Board of Directors. He is on the Hampton Roads Board of Directors of TowneBank and he chairs the Williamsburg Board of TowneBank. Tommy is also a member of the Williamsburg Area Chamber of Commerce and the James City County Ruritan Club. Professionally, Tommy is an attorney with Kaufman and Canoles, P.C., and a professor at the College of William and Mary.
