What’s so funny about peace, love and understanding? I will tell you, it’s time to listen to some music. Get ready for equal parts wisdom & willful ignorance plus a dash of inane banter…And we’ll definitely be chatting about how to make this place just a tad better.
This show is to support Shelly Simonds’ campaign for Virginia General Assembly District 94 (Newport News) and to encourage new folks to get active in local elections. If you have a friend who complains about politics, here’s a chance to get them involved. We will listen to some music, hear from Shelly and discuss definitive actions we can take.

You will have an opportunity to hear directly from a candidate who listens to voters.
If you are not familiar with me, I’ve been doing this music thing for a while. I’ve four recorded albums, lived in Northern Virginia for 9 years, went to American University in DC and even recorded my first album in Arlington. I’ll be playing with long-time collaborator and friend, bassist John David Coppola, who played upright bass on my first album, Phases of the Heart. John has over 30 years of experience, playing thousands of shows and toured internationally with The Danny Morris Band.
We’ll have special guests at the event to help you get involved. But you don’t need to wait. If you have time, volunteer. If you don’t have time, donate to campaigns. There is a great grassroots organization focused on winning state house elections, Sister District Project. While there are many other great organizations, these are the two using grassroots tactics. Join Sister District…today.
